Kashmir Trip Plan

I have been thinking about the Kashmir trip plan for a long time. Seeing the visuals of mountains, lakes, snow, and green valleys made me feel I had to visit Kashmir at least once. At last the opportunity came, and this 7-day trip became one of the most beautiful experiences in my life.

In this blog, I am sharing my own Kashmir trip plan, not only the sightseeing but also small memories, beautiful moments, and some different experiences.

Kashmir Trip Plan Day 1: First day at dal Lake

It was almost noon when I reached Srinagar from Kolkata. After checking into the hotel, I went to Dal Lake in the afternoon.

I was riding a Shikara around Dal Lake at sunset. There were mountains and calm waters all around. The whole place looked like a fairy tale in the evening light.

The most beautiful moment of the day was enjoying the beauty of Dal Lake with a cup of hot coffee in my hand.

Kashmir Trip Plan Day 2: The unknown beauty of Srinagar

On the second day, I woke up very early in the morning. I wanted to explore this city very well before the tourist rush.

I saw the local lifestyle of Srinagar by walking through the streets. Then I visited:

Nigin Lake

Local Market

Kasmiri Bakery

Handicraft Shop

In the evening, I sat beside a lake and watched the sunset.

Kashmir Trip Plan Day 3: On the way of Gurez Valley

There was a different experience on that day.

While going to the Gurez Valley, I want to stop the car again and again to see the view of the mountains and rivers on both sides of the road.

Here the tourist crowd is comparatively less. So I fully enjoy seeing this beauty of nature.

Talking to the local people, I understand that their hospitality in Kashmir is truly outstanding.

Kashmir Trip Plan Day 4: A peaceful day in Pahalgam

At first, after reaching Pahalgam, I spent some time beside the Lidder River.

The sound of the river, the cold breeze, and the view of mountains gave different moments.

On this day, I really enjoyed that place slowly without rushing.

Kashmir Trip Day 5: The green paradise of Aru Valley

Aru Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Kashmir.

This valley is covered by green grass; the mountains are covered at a distance, a peaceful environment—all together the place is like a dream.

Kashmir Trip Day 6: The beauty of Gulmarg

A trip to Kashmir is incomplete without a visit to Gulmarg.

Here the gondola ride was one of my favorite moments. The view of the surrounding snow-capped mountains as we ascended was truly amazing.

In the evening, I ended that day by spending some time near the pine forest.

Kashmir Trip day 7: Goodbye Kashmir

On the last day, I returned to Srnagar.

In the morning I went to the floating market of Dal Lake. The scene of selling vegetables in small boats is very beautiful.
