HS Result 2026: Result Within 50 Days of Exam End? Council President Explains How Marks Will Be Uploaded

During the higher secondary examination, council president Chiranjib Bhattacharya shared a major update regarding the HS Result 2026. Speaking to reporters, he stated that the Higher Secondary results may be published within 50 days after the examination concludes.

This year, under the new semester system, the entire evaluation process is being conducted online, which is expected to help in faster result publication.

According to council sources, inspections have been conducted at various examination centers since the very first day. This year, a total of 710,811 candidates are appearing for the exam. The number of female candidates is higher than that of male candidates.

Although the goal is to publish results quickly, the council has emphasized maintaining evaluation quality and accuracy online, which is expected to help in faster result publication.

How Will Answer Scripts Be Evaluated and Marks Uploaded?

A major change has been introduced in the marks submission process.

Previously:

  • Marks were submitted offline.
  • Data was sent manually through physical sheets.

Now:

  • After evaluation, marks will be uploaded directly online.
  • The head examiner will conduct scrutiny.
  • Subject-wise marks will be uploaded to the portal based on registration and roll numbers.

The Council President clearly stated that even if results are released quickly, there will be no compromise in evaluation standards.

HS 4th Semester 2026 Result Date: When Can Results Be Expected?

The examination will conclude on 27 February 2026.

If results are published within 50 days, the expected timeline would be:

  • Last week of April
  • First week of May

However, due to the upcoming Assembly elections, the final date will be announced later in accordance with official government approval.
